School Chaplain
Respect
Compassion
Service

Harvey Primary School employs a YouthCARE Chaplain. YouthCARE’s School Chaplaincy program provides an essential social, emotional and mental health support service. Having a focus on the wellbeing of students, parents and teachers makes a real difference to education outcomes.

YouthCARE chaplains are there to listen and provide a supportive place to talk, offering confidential, non-judgemental pastoral care and programs based on respect, compassion and service. They form an integral part of schools by:
-
Providing pastoral care for staff, students and families
-
Linking schools with local community, support agencies and organisations
-
Playing an active role assisting and supporting school events
-
Facilitating pastoral support programs and resources
-
Supporting, mentoring, encouraging and empowering the school community

Our YouthCARE chaplain is Kristi Crognale and she works at the school on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Kristi is available to talk, and offer support, to anyone within the school community.
